I would recommend staying away from silversides and anemones because anemones do have the tendency to regurgitate them/spit them out as it can be too big for them so I always recommend shrimp

thank you! Question: my aquarium is fully of bioload, he was doing great until yesterday! I added 50 small hermit crabs • for a sudden growth of brown algae around the tank, this morning some corals were looking with white spots and stressed. This is not the first time after adding a new organism, that's why I don't like to add any other animal to my tank but some people recommend me add more hermit and was only a cleaning crew. I did a water change 50% like I always do when this issue happens, 1 shot of nitrifying bacteria and activated carbon. Any comments regarding this issue?

I've always been confused about this event. Do they randomly draw from past orders of preferred reefers or do you have to place orders during the event for a chance to win?

I was having issues raising PH, the CO2 meter I bought online was fake, I got a reliable one now and found deficiencies in my house air quality, #1 I have a tight envelope so my house is equipped with an ERS, it wasn’t properly controlled as it should so I fixed that, #2 I ran a 3/4” line outside to draw fresh air, #3 the 3/4” line feeds an acrylic air box and my air pump for air stones is inside the acrylic box and the skimmer draws from it as well, I went from 7.8 to 8.2 and still going .

He has already stated he’s taking a year off from any videos. Honestly, I don’t think he’ll come back with the direction the company has gone. They aren’t following what they said they stand for anymore when was his company. While this new direction is just business it may not be a direction that Ryan wants to be a face of. While I have always taken the BRS TV videos with the grain of salt, they are business has to make money after all. I still took interest as Ryan had integrity in the hobby itself. Now that he is gone and with how the company is changing, I feel like it is just another company spewing its own personal propaganda and trying to make sales. It will be hard to watch without Ryan, however as an expensive hobby, I will still watch for the hope with the hope of winning

Apparently there are preservative chemicals on reverse osmosis membrains that can cause cancer and infertility! I've read that you really need to flush them good, But does that really do a good enough job? What are your thoughts on this and what would you recommend. Cheers mate.

My favorite ATO would be the Level Keeper by Reef Factory. Admitidly, their support services seem very dodgy and somewhat untrustworthy because I initially had a unit fail and had to explain, and re-explain the issue a litany of times before they decided to send me, a new updated unit with new and improved updated design floats while my product was under warranty and they seems very apphrehensive as in it took weeks for them to say they would send me a new one. The problem was the red light on the unit wouldn't turn on to fill the tank, and it was basically malfunctioning and not toggling on my pump when the floats had lowered from the water dropping. The Reef Factory Level Keeper float holders are also very easy to break and is a poor design choice. But IMO the benefit of being able to use any pump I like to top up fresh water, the fact that eventually they did send me an entire replacement unit has made everything okay. Honestly I have always wanted an Osmolator but being able to select my own pump, and plug it into the level keeper unit is really the biggest thing I love, not to mention the floats do operate properly with the new unit and everything has been seemless since they sent me a new one. Except I did knock one of the float holders doing maintenance which just snapped it like a cracker. Luckily, I had 2 spare ones from my old unit, so I pretty much immediately replaced it but yeah, the float holder design sucks. In summary, I would probably still buy one of these units. But my second choice by far would be the Tunze Osmolator because of it's high-quality reputation and seemingly staple ATO in most reef aquariums. Sorry for being so wordy, this is just my experience hehe.
